The Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for an eight-week-long Sheriff’s Civilian Academy for residents of Middlesex County in the Fall of 2016. The Sheriff’s Civilian Academy which is designed to educate Middlesex County residents on the various functions and duties of the Sheriff’s Office will be held at the Middlesex County Police Training Center on North Patrol Road in Edison. Registrations Being Accepted for County Sheriff’s Civilian Academy

The Sheriff’s Office will hold an 8-week-long Sheriff’s Civilian Academy for residents of Middlesex County beginning April 2016. The program is designed to educate Middlesex County residents on the various functions and duties of the Sheriff’s Office. Scam Using Somerset County Sheriff’s Office Phone Number

Scammers are using the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office phone number and impersonating themselves as sheriff’s office personnel to get victims to make payments on false warrants. “The public should know that the sheriff’s office always serves warrants in person and will never call for money or personal information,” Sheriff Frank J. Provenzano said. If you have received any calls from scammers, call the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office at 908-231-7140 ext.9. If you are a victim of a scam, you can file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission at www.fcc.gov/complaints
