Effective immediately, Newark Penn Station’s Track 5 platform will be closed evenings from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. through 2015 as necessary due to platform reconstruction work and other improvements. During this time, Raritan Valley Line customers will be directed to board from alternate platforms. Customers should check departure monitors and listen for station announcements for track assignments during this time. During the completion of this phase of work, customers will continue to board Raritan Valley Line trains from the east end of the Track 5 platform during the day.
