Dunellen Police Department had its first “Narcan life save” last night. At 11:30pm, officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of First Street. Sergeant Jeffrey Delbuono, Patrolman Nicholas Goldman, Patrolman Nicholas Pepe and Patrolman Marcin Nierodzik arrived on scene and found a 32 year old man from Woodbridge Township unconscious with a faint pulse and agonal breathing, laying in the roadway next to his vehicle. The police administered oxygen as well as two rounds of Naloxone, also known as Narcan, a medication used to reverse the effects of opioid overdose. On 10/27/15 @ 6:00pm – A Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. The vehicle was stopped for having a tail lights out. The driver had an active warrant out for her arrest. She was arrested, brought to headquarters to be processed and later posted bail. On 9/29/15 @ 6:29pm – A Raritan resident was arrested and charged with obstruction, hindering apprehension and contempt of court after patrol was called to Morecraft Park for a report of an active fight. Upon arrival it was discovered that the fight had stopped and several individuals, including the suspect, were still on scene. The suspect was asked for his name and refused to give it after several requests. He was then arrested for obstruction. After being arrested his identification was found in his wallet. On 8/30/15 @ 1:12am – A Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a police officer and contempt of court after patrol was called to his residence for a report of a dispute in progress. Upon arrival the suspect began to yell and curse at officers and was arrested for disorderly conduct. He then attempted to punch an officer and resisted arrest, causing one officer to seriously injure his shoulder. The suspect was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later transported to Middlesex County Jail.
