Routine Water System Flushing Starts Monday

New Jersey American Water (NJAW) will begin routine flushing of the water distribution system in Dunellen from March 20 to April 3 during the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The flushing which is part of the system maintenance program also allows NJAW to monitor and maintain fire hydrants. When crews are working in your area, there may be noticeably reduced pressure or discolored water. If water is discolored, let it run until it runs clear before using. Check water’s color before using the washing machine or dishwasher.
