On 11/30/2019 at approximately 1:30 am, police attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop on the North Avenue. After stopping briefly, the operator of the vehicle, a black Dodge Charger, took off at a high rate of speed and led officers on a brief pursuit through Dunellen, Piscataway, and Plainfield. The pursuit was terminated due to the suspect’s extremely reckless operation of the vehicle. This case remains open.
On 11/29/2019 at 3:22 pm, police received a walk-in report of criminal mischief. The victim reported that, while in Dunellen, she had attempted to confront a motorist about a road rage incident which had occurred in Piscataway. During the confrontation, the suspect caused damage to her windshield and door.
On 11/28/2019 at 7:01 pm, a Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after police response to the parking lot of a North Avenue business for the report of an intoxicated individual attempting to drive away. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters and Green Brook Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to a sober friend.
On 11/28/2019 at 2:34 am, a Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Oak Parkway. He was found to have warrants for his arrest out of Newark and Clark. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released after receiving new court dates.
On 11/28/2019 at 1:54 am, a South Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following police response to a North Washington Avenue business for the report of an intoxicated individual attempting to drive away. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to a sober family member.
On 11/28/2019 at 1:08 am, a Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit breath samples following a motor vehicle stop on Front Street. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing where he refused to provide samples. He was later turned over to a sober family member.
On 11/27/2019 at 8:43 am, police responded to Columbia Park for the report of criminal mischief. The victim reported damage to an excavator which was parked overnight due to ongoing construction.
On 11/26/2019 at 12:14 am, a Middlesex resident was arrested for contempt of court after being observed by police and known to have an active warrant for his arrest out of the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail.
On 11/25/2019 at 7:07 pm, a Bound Brook resident was arrested for contempt of court after police responded to the report of an intoxicated individual on Front Street. Investigation revealed that he had a warrant for his arrest out of the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office.

On 11/24/2019 at 4:38 pm, a Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with Fugitive From Justice following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. Investigation revealed that she was wanted with full extradition out of the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office in Texas. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail awaiting extradition to Texas.
On 11/23/2019 at 9:32 pm, a Watchung resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following police response to a motor vehicle accident on North Washington Avenue in which she had struck a parked motor vehicle. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released to a sober friend.
On 11/23/2019 at 10:13 am, a Piscataway resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Walnut Street. He was found to have warrants out of Woodbridge and North Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to Woodbridge Police Department on their warrant.

On 11/20/2019 at 4:58 pm, a Piscataway resident was arrested for contempt of court after being observed by police and known to have warrants for his arrest out of Dunellen, Piscataway, and Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to Piscataway Police Department on their warrant.
On 11/20/2019 at 3:14 pm, police received a walk-in report of criminal mischief. The victim reported damage to their vehicle while parked at the Dunellen Train Station.
On 11/19/2019 at 12:35 am, a Piscataway resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after police observed him asleep behind the wheel with several open containers of alcohol on North Avenue. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released to a sober family member.
On 11/18/2019 at 8:14 pm, police responded to Second Street for the report of theft. The victim reported that two packages were delivered earlier in the day and had been stolen prior to their arrival home.

He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and unable to contact a responsible party to sign him out. He was held until sober and subsequently released with a court appearance notice.
On 11/16/2019 at 10:11 pm, police received a walk-in report of theft from a resident of Bound Brook Road. The victim reported that U.S. currency, prescriptions, and personal items were missing from her apartment and suspected her former roommate was responsible. This case remains open.

On 11/9/2019 at 9:06 pm, police responded to Fairview Avenue for the report of a serious motor vehicle crash. The operator of the vehicle, a male juvenile, had struck four parked vehicles causing significant damage. He was transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation and additional charges are pending the results of a drug screening.

On 11/6/2019 at 8:41 pm, police responded to Grove Street for the report of theft. The victim wished to report that she believed an unknown person had accessed the fuel tank on her parked vehicle and removed an unknown quantity of gasoline.
On 11/5/2019 at 9:09 pm, a Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50g and possession of drug paraphernalia after police was called to check on a suspicious vehicle on South Avenue. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court appearance date.
On 11/5/2019, two Indiana residents were charged with theft by deception (3rd degree) following investigation into an on-line fraud from a Dunellen business on 7/2/2019. The pair were sent court appearance notices.

He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing where he refused to provide a breath sample. He was later released to a sober family member.
