Rumors of Planned Trouble at DHS Found Not Credible

On Sunday, March 12, Dunellen parents with children enrolled in the Dunellen School District received the following notice from Superintendant Gene Mosley via text, email, and/or phone call.

“Over the weekend there were rumors circulating that a student who was scheduled to return to school on Monday, March 13, was planning to cause harm in the high school. School administrators, along with the superintendent, and members of the Dunellen Police Department investigated throughout the weekend and found those rumors to be unsubstantiated and not credible.

When your children arrive for school tomorrow they will be greeted by school administrators, the superintendent, and members of the Dunellen Police Department who are all working together to make sure that every day in the Dunellen School District is a good day.

As always, the safety of our students and staff is the primary responsibility of the administration and staff of the Dunellen Public Schools. We will continue our efforts to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that will give all of our students an opportunity to achieve their goals.”
