On 11/26/2016 at 9:04 pm – A Plainfield resident was placed under arrest and charged with receiving stolen property following a motor vehicle stop on Front Street. The driver was initially stopped for speeding when it was determined the vehicle had been reported stolen in Plainfield on 11/23/2016. He was transported to Dunellen Police Headquarters where he was processed and subsequently lodged in Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $10,000 bail.
On 11/26/2016 at 12:02 am – A North Plainfield resident was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Avenue. The driver was stopped for disregarding a traffic sign and was found to be intoxicated. He was transported to Dunellen Police Headquarters where he was processed and released to a sober party with a pending court appearance.
On 11/21/2016 at 2:48 am – A Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct after officers were called to a Bound Brook Road residence. During the investigation, he became highly combative with responding officers. He was placed under arrest and transported to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing where he remained uncooperative. He was then transported to the Middlesex County Jail in lieu of bail set at $10,000.
On 11/21/2016 at 1:50 am – A Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. Investigation revealed that he had an arrest warrant out of Dunellen as well as a warrant out of Edison. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with new court dates for both charges.
On 11/17/2016 at 11:41 pm – A Plainfield resident was placed under arrest and charged with possession of less Than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Dunellen Avenue. He was stopped after disregarding a traffic signal. Investigation revealed a quantity of marijuana, metal grinder, and digital scale within the vehicle. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and subsequently released with a pending court appearence.
On 11/16/2016 at 9:50 pm – A Plainfield resident was placed under arrest for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on New Market Road. He was stopped after the vehicle he was operating had a malfunctioning headlight. He was later discovered to have eight arrest warrants from Edison, East Brunswick, Green Brook, New Brunswick, Bound Brook, and the Middlesex County Sheriffs Department totaling $9,348. He was transported to Dunellen Police Headquarters where he was processed and subsequently turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriffs Department.
On 11/12/2016 at 3:09 pm – A Somerset resident was arrested for contempt of court after responding to Dunellen Police Headquarters for an unrelated matter and it was learned that the woman had an active arrest warrant out of South Plainfield. She was processed and released with a new court date after posting bail.
On 11/07/2016 at 6:45 am – A Somerville resident was arrested and charged with resisting arrest by flight along with several other charges after the police responded to a call regarding a suspicious person on Bound Brook Road. A brief foot pursuit occurred and he was recovered nearby with assistance from Middlesex Borough and Green Brook Police Departments. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to the Middlesex County Jail on a no-bail warrant.
On 11/7/2016 at 1:58 am – A Plainfield resident was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Grove Street and charged with hindering apprehension, possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, and two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute. He also had an active arrest warrant from Watchung for $500. He was transported to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing. Bail was set at $10,000 with a 10% option and he was released with a court date after posting bail on all charges.
On 11/6/2016 at 9:40 pm – A Dunellen resident was arrested for contempt of court after the police responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle on Third Street. An investigation revealed that she had a no-bail warrant from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, as well as a $1,000.00 Middlesex Borough warrant and a $1,000.00 South Plainfield warrant. She was transported to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
On 11/6/2016 at 1:36 am – A North Plainfield resident was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. He was transported to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing. In addition, he was charged with hindering apprehension for using a fraudulent name throughout the booking process and presenting a false identification card under the name. He was released to a sober party with a court date.
On 11/5/2016 at 9:03 pm – A Plainfield resident and a North Plainfield resident were arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Avenue. An investigation revealed that the Plainfield resident had multiple warrants out of South Plainfield totaling $2,000 and the North Plainfield had a warrant out of Clark for $300. Both were arrested and transported to Dunellen HQ for processing. They were released with new court dates after posting bail.
