On Thursday, June 6, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) held their annual NJ awards ceremony at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. The ceremony recognized officers in the state’s law enforcement organizations for their extraordinary efforts in the prevention of car crashes through DWI enforcement. Three officers from the Dunellen Police Department were recognized: Sgt John Doherty, Ptl Nicholas Goldman and Ptl Marcin Nierodzik. They were also awarded a similar recognition from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety.
