Just three months after the nearby Pathmark closed its doors for good, Superfood Marketplace officially opens its today, February 27, 2016.
Superfood Marketplace completely renovated the nearly 25,000 square-foot space that was previously occupied by Walgreens at 738 Union Avenue, Middlesex, NJ. In addition to packaged goods and produce, the store also features a butcher’s station and deli department.
Although the store has been open for a few weeks, the grand opening celebration is from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm today with welcome remarks from 12 noon to 12:30pm.
The free event will have plenty of family and child-friendly entertainment including a clown, balloon artist, and a custom cigar roller. Music will be provided by DJ Julian. In addition, there will be representatives from some of the product lines Superfood carries including Boar’s Head, Goya, Food Nation, Tropical Cheese, Family Food Specialty Distributor, and Malher. Resources and information will also be available from Full Count Baseball & Softball Training Academy, Financial Resources Federal Credit Union, and Pure Fitness Studio.
