Dunellen Police Report | October 2015

On 10/27/15 @ 6:00pm – A Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. The vehicle was stopped for having a tail lights out. The driver had an active warrant out for her arrest. She was arrested, brought to headquarters to be processed and later posted bail.

On 10/26/15 @ 10:50pm – Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with two counts of contempt of court. Patrol responded to the suspect’s residence to look for him to arrest him on his warrants. The suspect was found in the residence and arrested without incident. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later posted bail.

On 10/24/15 @ 1:47am – A 23 year old resident of North Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. The vehicle was stopped for the registered owner having a suspended license. The driver then lied about his identity giving a false name. His true identity was discovered and he was arrested, processed and later released.

On 10/22/15 @ 4:03pm – An Alpha Borough resident was arrested and charged with contempt of court. Patrol was called to a residence on 2nd Street for a report of a male known to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Upon arrival patrol met the suspect and confirmed the warrant. He was arrested, brought to headquarters to be processed and turned over to Warren County Sheriff’s Dept for his warrant.

On 10/20/15 @ 11:33pm – A Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with contempt of court after patrol found her walking in the street in the area of Third Street. The suspect was known to have a warrant out for her arrest and was stopped and arrested once the warrant was confirmed. She was brought to headquarters where she was processed and later turned over to Green Brook Police Department for her warrant.

On 10/18/15 @ 3:01pm – A Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, two counts of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after patrol was called to the area of South 2nd Street for a report of an assault. The suspect and victim had been drinking together when an argument ensued and the suspect hit the victim over the head with a vodka bottle. The suspect then became uncooperative with patrol and refused to follow officers’ instructions. When patrol attempted to arrest him he resisted. He then continually threatened officers and witnesses on scene and while being processed. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and later transported to Middlesex County Jail.

On 10/16/15 @ 1:32am – A Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with contempt of court after being found in a parked vehicle in Columbia Park after hours. The suspect was checked for warrants and an outstanding warrant from Piscataway was discovered. She was arrested, processed, posted bail and was released.

On 10/14/15 @ 1:40am – A Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle accident on Prospect Avenue. The suspect vehicle had collided with a parked vehicle. The driver appeared to be intoxicated on prescription pills. She was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital for her injuries where blood was drawn as well to further the investigation. The suspect was left in custody of the hospital staff to be treated.

On 10/12/15 @ 3:10am – A Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with contempt of court after he was found sleeping in the waiting area of the train station. The suspect was arrested and brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released.

On 10/8/15 @ 5:43pm – A Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. The vehicle was stopped for the registered owner having an outstanding warrant. Once the driver was identified as the registered owner of the vehicle he was arrested and brought to headquarters to be processed. He was then turned over to South Plainfield Police Department on his outstanding warrant.

On 10/4/15 @ 2:12am – A North Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and the driver was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and brought to headquarters where he was processed and later released to a sober party.

On 10/3/15 @ 10:36pm – A Sicklerville resident was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. The vehicle was stopped for driving without its headlights on and the driver was found to have an active warrant out of Camden City. The suspect was arrested, processed and later released.

On 10/3/15 @ 8:08pm – A Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Avenue. The driver was found to have an active warrant out for her arrest and was brought to headquarters where she was processed, posted bail and was released.

On 10/2/15 @ 7:44am – A Piscataway resident was charged with forgery following an investigation into him making and using a fraudulent parking pass for the Dunellen Train Station parking lot. The suspect was processed, posted bail and was later released.

On 10/1/15 @ 4:31pm – A Piscataway resident was charged with criminal trespass and contempt of court and another Piscataway resident was charged with criminal trespass after both were found inside of a vacant home on South Avenue. The suspects were both processed and later released.
