The scarecrow contest returned to the 2nd Annual Dunellen HarvestFest on Sunday, October 12. This year there were eight entries including a monster, Webelos scout, and a bridesmaid.
It was the witches, however, who were the day’s winners. Members of the Dunellen Downtown Management Organization which organized the event, chose the winners of the two main categories. The children category was won by Girl Scout Troop 65009 with their scarecrow, Savannah Smile. Katie Dubrow was awarded the adult category prize for her entry Sybil.
HarvestFest attendees voted on the third prize, the Fan Favorite category, selecting the Pimpinella Family’s Samantha Skysweeper.
All winners were awarded $25 Visa gift cards.
