A Veterans Town Hall Meeting & Claims Clinic will be held on Wednesday, December 2, on the first floor of the Somerset County Human Services Building at 27 Warren Street, Somerville. The claims clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The town hall meeting, hosted by Michael Blazis, director of the Newark Regional Office, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The VA has invited Congressional stakeholders, veteran service organizations, non-governmental organizations and other community partners to attend. Veterans, their families and survivors, organizations and individuals who work with or on behalf of veterans, as well as the general public are invited to attend to share information, hear feedback and get answers to questions about VA benefits, including compensation, pension, insurance, loan guaranty, vocational rehabilitation and employment, and education-benefit programs.
