Dunellen Police Department had its first “Narcan life save” last night. At 11:30pm, officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of First Street. Sergeant Jeffrey Delbuono, Patrolman Nicholas Goldman, Patrolman Nicholas Pepe and Patrolman Marcin Nierodzik arrived on scene and found a 32 year old man from Woodbridge Township unconscious with a faint pulse and agonal breathing, laying in the roadway next to his vehicle. The police administered oxygen as well as two rounds of Naloxone, also known as Narcan, a medication used to reverse the effects of opioid overdose.
