Anne North, who has been the Faber Elementary School nurse for 12 years, has been named Dunellen School District’s 2017-2018 Support Staff Member of the Year.
As the school nurse, North ensures that all steps are taken on a regular basis to help keep the entire school healthy. She is known for making her “rounds” early each morning, checking in on those students that have been out sick, and ensuring that all other students and staff members are having a healthy start to their school day. North goes above and beyond her required duties: pitching in whenever needed and participating in many school activities. She also serves as a member of the Dunellen Rescue Squad.
Faber School Principal Gary Lubisco, Jr. said “Without an excellent nurse, a school struggles to keep students and staff healthy. Faber School is very lucky to have a nurse that cares so much about our students and staff members. No problem is too big or too small for her. Ms. North deals with cuts and scrapes, asthma attacks and other serious medical emergencies with the same level of professionalism and caring manner. We are proud that she is our Support Staff Member of the Year.”
