The Middlesex County Office of Culture and Heritage will be holding free Halloween-themed programs at East Jersey Old Town Village at 1050 River Road in Piscataway.
Children between the ages of 5 and 9 can make two different Halloween-themed crafts on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22 at 7pm. The first is a spooky and fun ghost foam door hanger. The second craft is a Halloween lantern window sign. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The vollage will aso be host to storytellers. Each guest can attend two of the four storytellers’ performances (at Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22 at 7 and 8pm). Please specify your choices when registering. All of these sessions are family-friendly. Refreshments will be served. Costumes are welcomed.

- Gerald Fierst: Spooky stories that will surely send a chill up your spine!
- Charles Kiernan: Stories of the strange and odd.
- MaryAnn Paterniti: Tales that will captivate both children and adults with the spirit of Halloween.
In a special program on Sunday, October 23 at 2pm, Neill Hartley of the American Historical Theatre will portray Sherlock Holmes, the beloved fictional detective created by British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
