The women-only fitness chain Lady of America (LOA) closed its Route 22, Green Brook location on August 31. Its Facebook page was removed and its local website which used to list class schedules and instructor bios now only lists the phone number of a fitness management company. The gym was also removed from the LadyofAmerica.com main website.
A letter from LOA Franchise Holding, LLC was sent to members on September 4 informing them of the closure, citing that it was due to “circumstances beyond our control.”
Memberships have been transferred to Eclipse Fitness, Sports, and Wellness located at 17 King George Road, Green Brook. Although the new gym has additional features which were not at LOA, members’ current billing rates will not change.
