On 12/31/2019 at 11:47 pm, a Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and contempt of court after patrol was called to Bound Brook Road for a dispute. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office and physically resisted officers attempting to arrest him. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later remanded to the Somerset County Jail on their warrant.
On 12/31/2019 at 8:57 am, a Piscataway was arrested for Contempt of Court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Avenue. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Middlesex Borough. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.
On 12/30/2019 at 12:49 pm, a Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court after police were dispatched to Fourth Street for the report of an unwanted person. He was found to have warrants for his arrest out of Washington Borough and Phillipsburg. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with new court dates.
On 12/29/2019 at 6:55 pm, police received a walk-in report of harassment. The victim reported receiving several harassing messages and phone calls.

On 12/27/2019 at 2:29 am, a Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court after police were called to a North Avenue business for the report of a disorderly patron refusing to leave. He was found to have a no-bail warrant out of the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office as well as warrants out of Plainfield and Phillipsburg. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail on the Sheriff’s Office warrant.
On 12/26/2019 at 3:04 pm, a Bayonne resident was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property after a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue where he was operating a vehicle which was displaying stolen license plates. The plates had been reported stolen out of Bayonne several days prior.
On 12/26/2019 at 8:57 am, police received a walk-in report of theft and forgery. The victim reported hiring a contractor to do work over the last several months. She reported that one of the checks issued to him was altered and cashed for an amount significantly greater than it was originally issued for and several other checks were entirely fraudulent and appear to have been stolen from the back of her checkbook. A thorough investigation identified the suspect as a Raritan Borough resident. He was charged with forgery by altering, forgery (3 counts), theft, wrongful impersonation, and contempt of court. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Additionally he was found to have the following warrants: Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office (No-Bail), East Brunswick, Woodbridge, Middlesex Boro, South River, and Branchburg. On the evening of 12/26/2019, Dunellen police responded to Raritan Borough where they were assisted by several Raritan officers in checking residences associated with the suspect. He was eventually located in a basement hiding underneath a pile of clothes and taken into custody without further incident. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail.
On 12/24/2019 at 12:15 pm, a Piscataway resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on South Avenue. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of South Brunswick. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a new court date.
On 12/23/2019 at 12:15 am, police received a walk-in report of burglary to a motor vehicle and debit card fraud. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed her unlocked vehicle on the evening of 12/21/2019 and subsequently stolen a purse containing her debit card. The debit card was used that morning at two Dunellen businesses’ ATMs. This case remains open.
On 12/21/2019 at 5:22 pm, a Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with theft following police response to Dunellen Avenue on the report that an individual had stolen prescription medication. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court appearance notice.
On 12/21/2019 at 9:38 am, police received a walk-in report of credit card fraud.
On 12/21/2019 at 3:22 pm, a Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with shoplifting following investigation into several incidents at a North Avenue business. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court appearance notice.
On 12/21/2019 at 8:05 am, police received a walk-in report of burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim reported that her unlocked vehicle had been accessed on North Avenue sometime during the night prior and that a purse and personal items were stolen.
On 12/21/2019, two Dunellen residents were charged with simple assault following investigation into an incident on 12/18/2019 at a North Avenue business. Both were sent court appearance notices.
On 12/21/2019, a Dunellen juvenile was charged with driving while intoxicated and using prescription drugs without a prescription, following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident on 11/9/2019 in which the juvenile operated a motor vehicle which struck several parked cars on Fairview Avenue and caused significant damage. A court appearance notice was sent.
On 12/19/2019 at 5:04 pm, police received a walk-in report of theft. The victim reported fraudulent bank charges. This case remains open.

On 12/18/2019 at 10:03 pm, police responded to North Avenue for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reported that two men had stolen his vehicle which was running and unlocked outside of the residence. The vehicle was last seen being driven towards Middlesex.
On 12/18/2019 at 12:05 pm, police responded to Bound Brook Road for the report of theft. The victim reported the theft of items which had been outside of the building.
On 12/18/2019 at 1:13 am, police responded to a North Avenue business for the report of simple assault. The victim reported that he had been attacked by three individuals. This case remains open.
On 12/18/2019 at 12:05 am, a Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit breath samples following a motor vehicle stop after police were alerted to a reportedly intoxicated individual leaving a North Avenue business and attempting to drive home. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing where she refused to provide samples. She was released to a sober friend.
On 12/16/2019 at 12:47 am, a Parlin resident was arrested for contempt of court after police was called to South Madison Avenue for the report of several people fighting. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Englishtown. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released after receiving a new court date.
On 12/13/2019 at 1:20 pm, police received a walk-in report of theft. The victim reported that he had mislaid his wallet while waiting for the bus the night prior and that someone had stolen it.
On 12/13/2019 at 10:37 am, police received a walk-in report of theft. The victim reported that an unknown person had removed her purse containing a driver’s license and several credit cards while she was attending a function at a Grove Street business the night prior.
On 12/12/2019 at 10:35 pm, a Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of South Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.
On 12/12/2019 at 12:53 am, a Newark resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Belleville. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released after posting bail.
On 12/10/2019 at 4:58 pm, police received a walk-in report of theft. The victim, a resident of New Market Road, wished to report the theft of two recently delivered packages which were left on a rear porch.
On 12/10/2019 at 10:23 am, police responded to North Avenue for the report of criminal mischief. The victim wished to report damage to his parked vehicle.
On 12/9/2019 at 10:10 pm, a Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension and contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop in which he was a passenger. He was not wearing a seatbelt and provided a fictitious name to officers to conceal a warrant out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to Plainfield Police Department on their warrant.
On 12/6/2019 at 11:42 pm, police received a walk-in report of lost property. The reporting party wished to report a lost wallet, driver’s license, and social security card.
On 12/6/2019 at 10:46 pm, a Dunellen resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after police received a 911 call reporting a vehicle with a flat tire and front end damage driving erratically. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released to a sober family member.
On 12/6/2019 at 8:25 pm, police responded to New Market Road at the request of Elizabeth Police Department to assist with a missing person’s investigation. The missing person was located at the residence.
On 12/6/2019 at 8:58 am, a Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Avenue. She was found to have an active warrant for her arrest out of Piscataway. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.
