Dunellen Police Report | February, 2020

On 2/27/2020 at 6:05 pm, a New York resident was arrested and charged with offering prostitution following execution of a search warrant at a North Avenue business after an investigation by the Dunellen Detective Bureau assisted by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court date.

On 2/27/2020 at 6:05 pm, a Pennsylvania resident was arrested and charged with offering prostitution following execution of a search warrant at a North Avenue business after an investigation by the Dunellen Detective Bureau assisted by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. On 2/25/2020 at 12:01 am, a Bound Brook resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Road in which he was a passenger. Because he had a warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield, he was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released after posting bail.

On 2/23/2020 at 10:36 pm, a Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, being under the influence of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of narcotics following a motor vehicle stop on West Fourth Street. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released to a sober friend.

On 2/22/2020 at 11:33 am, police received a walk-in report of a lost wallet. The victim reported losing their wallet earlier in the day.

On 2/22/2020 at 8:40 am, police received a walk-in report of theft. The victim reported that an unknown person had accessed their financial data and stolen money.

On 2/22/2020 at 1:07 am, a Middlesex resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit breath samples following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Road. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing where she refused to provide samples and was later released to a sober friend.

On 2/20/2020 at 3:43 pm, police received a walk-in report of theft. The victim reported that an unknown person had stolen one of their license plates.

On 2/20/2020 at 10:25 am, police received a walk-in report of harassment. The victim wished to report several harassing messages received on social media.

On 2/19/2020 at 1:23 am, a Middlesex resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Road. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released to a sober friend.

On 2/18/2020 at 9:21 am, police received a walk-in report of a lost wallet. The reporting party stated they had lost their wallet with ID, credit cards, and U.S. Currency.

On 2/16/2020 at 8:37 pm, a North Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Avenue. He was found to have a warrant out of the Burlington County Sheriff’s Office. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail.

On 2/16/2020 at 1:06 pm, police received a walk-in report of lost property. The victim reported losing a passport.

On 2/16/2020 at 8:18 am, police responded to Second Street for the report of harassment. The victim reported several instances of harassment from their neighbor. She was given information on filing a complaint with the court.

On 2/16/2020 at 12:23 am, a Pennsylvania resident was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50g and possession of a schedule IV narcotic (Tramadol) following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Avenue. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court appearance notice.

On 2/15/2020 at 3:56 pm, police responded to a North Avenue business for the reported theft. The victims reported that several cell phones had been stolen.

On 2/15/2020 at 3:15 am, a Bound Brook resident was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50g following a motor vehicle stop on Bound Brook Road. Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office and Narcotics Detection K-9 Unit assisted on the stop. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court appearance notice.

On 2/14/2020 at 10:31 pm, a Middlesex resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. Because he had warrants out of Dunellen and Woodbridge, he was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.

On 2/14/2020 at 3:30 pm, police received a walk-in report of harassment. The victim wished to report several harassing messages.

On 2/14/2020 at 10:14 am, police responded to a residence on Second Street after receiving a report of animal neglect with dogs being left outside. The dogs were in the house and the owner was not home. Follow up pending.

On 2/14/2020 at 2:08 am, a Piscataway resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Avenue. She was brought to Dunellen and Green Brook Police Headquarters for processing and later released to a sober family member.

On 2/13/2020 at 1:26 am, a Middlesex resident was arrested for contempt of court following a stop for several bicycle violations on Bound Brook Road. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Elizabeth, brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.

On 2/12/2020 at 8:57 am, a Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Scotch Plains. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to Scotch Plains Police Department on their warrant.

On 2/10/2020 at 10:06 pm, a Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Plainfield. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.

On 2/10/2020 at 8:42 am, a Linden resident was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50g following a motor vehicle stop on West Fourth Street. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court date.

On 2/9/2020 at 10:46 pm, a Piscataway resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit breath samples after police was called to the report of a vehicle which had struck a parked car and rolled over on Whittier Avenue. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing where he refused to provide breath samples. He was later released to a sober family member.

On 2/9/2020 at 6:24 pm, a Middlesex resident was arrested for contempt of court after being stopped by Middlesex officers investigating a driving complaint near the Dunellen border. He was found to have a warrant out of Dunellen. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail.

On 2/9/2020 at 5:08 pm, a Piscataway resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue. She was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Dunellen. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a new court date.

On 2/9/2020 at 11:19 am, a Plainfield resident was arrested for contempt of court following a motor vehicle stop on South Washington Avenue. She was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of Plainsboro. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and released after posting bail.

On 2/9/2020 at 2:42 am, a Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension and falsely incriminating another after providing another person’s identity on a motor vehicle stop to avoid a summons. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court date.

On 2/9/2020 at 12:06 am, a Piscataway resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on South Avenue. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released to a sober friend.

On 2/8/2020 at 9:35 pm, police received a walk-in report of fraud. The victim reported sending money to an unknown person.

On 2/8/2020 at 12:32 pm, a Dunellen resident and a Bound Brook resident were both arrested and charged with possession of marijuana over 50g and possession of drug paraphernalia (3 counts). Additionally, the Bound Brook resident was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, following a motor vehicle stop in a North Avenue business’ parking lot. Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office and Narcotics Detection K-9 Unit assisted with the stop. Both were brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released with a court date.

On 2/8/2020 at 12:22 pm, police responded to Grove Street for the report of theft. The victim reported that an unknown person stole medication from his apartment.

On 2/8/2020, a Piscataway resident was charged with operating a motor vehicle while suspended for DWI following investigation into an earlier incident. He was mailed a court appearance notice.

On 2/8/2020 at 12:46 am, a Ewing resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Avenue. She was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released to a sober family member.

On 2/4/2020, a Piscataway resident resident was charged with theft of movable property following investigation into an incident at a North Avenue business on 1/24/2020. He was mailed a court appearance notice.

On 2/3/2020, a Warren resident was charged with operating a motor vehicle while suspended for DWI following investigation into an earlier incident. He was mailed a court appearance notice.

On 2/3/2020 at 8:03 pm, a Bound Brook resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit breath samples, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana over 50g, possession of Oxycodone, possession of Xanax, intent to distribute Oxycodone, and intent to distribute marijuana after police responded to the report of a vehicle which had crashed into a house on Gertrude Terrace. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing where he refused to provide breath samples. He was later remanded to the Middlesex County Jail.

On 2/2/2020 at 12:38 am, a juvenile Plainfield resident was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50g, tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and underage possession of alcohol following a motor vehicle stop on North Washington Ave in which he was a passenger. The juvenile was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later released to a parent.

On 2/1/2020 at 8:31 pm, police received a walk-in report of fraud. The victim reported several accounts opened in her name and being the victim of several scams.

On 2/1/2020 at 12:38 am, a Pennsylvania resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of cocaine, and being under the influence of CDS following a motor vehicle stop on Grove Street. Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office and Narcotics Detection K-9 Unit were called to the scene to assist. He was brought to Dunellen Police Headquarters for processing and later transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
