August 4, 11am – 3pm
at the American Legion Post 119 Picnic Grove at 137 New Market Road, Dunellen, NJ 08812.
Meet the boys and leaders of Cub Scouts Pack 26 & Boy Scouts Troop 119 for a fun-filled day of camping, outdoor skills and scouting fun demonstrations.
Cub Scouts do fun things with their friends! As a cub scout you get to wear a cool uniform! Build a race car and race it! Camp, hike, fish and learn about nature! Shoot an arrow! Play outdoors games! In Cub Scouting, boys and their families have fun and adventure in a program that builds character and instills values – all while they’re having a great time with their friends and families.
Boy Scouts achieve the aims of Scouting through a vigorous outdoor program, peer group leadership, advancement, high adventure, personal development, service, and special programs and events designed for the older scout. Boys Scouts canoe, rock climb, hike the Appalachian Trail, go to summer camp, learn wilderness survival, life-saving skills, emergency preparedness, 1st aid and so much more! The program offer 120 Merit Badges to learn a new skill or interest!
All Scouts also organize and take part in community service projects, which benefit their neighborhoods, schools, churches and more.
But there’s more to it than that. Being a Scout means you are a member of a worldwide youth movement that stands for certain values and beliefs. Scouting is more than something to do. It’s all about the boy you are and the person you will become.
This is why we say that Scouting is fun with a purpose.
Join us and see what scouting has to offer your son.
